Fashion Activism: The diary everyone is invited to read
Fashion as a platform for self-expression is more relevant than ever. For me, it has stopped being about mere functionality and necessity but is also the diary I am happy to share with the world. My inner thoughts, passions, mood on display for a stranger on a sidewalk to see. I have adopted it as my small personal act of rebellion.
While fashion may not be considered the main form of activism, at an estimated worth of $3 trillion and directly employing 60 million people, its reach and potential for impact is unquestionable.
Some make it, some wear it, fashion is a personal expression of who we are. By choosing what we wear, we decide what values we support.
Fashion shows have also been platforms to showcase “free thinking” through provocative imagery and designs that invite a social or political conversation and we are so here for it!
We have chosen bold outwear as our platform to speak our mind, what about you?
