Camarade: Aline Souza
I am an Illustrator and Visual Artist. Today I am a graduate student of the Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo and also studied Interior Design and Visual Communication. I started my first works in 2008 with Graffiti in the streets of São Paulo.
Since 2012 I have been producing illustrations and paintings where I approach the feminine and black figure. In my productions I try to point out gender, social and ethnic inequalities. I also develop these themes in workshops of painting, drawing, presentations as talks.
I'm working with CamaradesWear to raise awareness of the environmental crisis in Brumadinho. In my designs I thought about how people will be able to survive, in spite of all the pain, in spite of everything, at some point there will be the possibility of life and renewal.
We are donating a portion of proceeds from this collection to aid environmental solutions. Stay tuned for our launch on June 22nd!
